Link & Match School and Teachers Recognition

In line with KI 40th anniversary and strengthening contribution to the country, Komatsu Indonesia held Vocational Rekognition to strengthening the Link & Match Government Program on August 29, 2022. This event was also attended by the Directorate General of Vocational Education Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia Dr. Ir. Kiki Yuliati, M.Sc. 

Komatsu Indonesia started the Link & Match Government Program with Vocational High School starting in 2017 with 35 Vocational High School, then developed it by expanding its scope to Group Companies (building 40 SMKs). In 2021, KGI will expand its coverage outside Java, so that it includes 50 assisted Vocational High School, this cannot be separated from the company's vision and mission to become a valuable asset for the nation.

The Link & Match program run by KGI together with the Indonesian Heavy Equipment Association (HINABI) initiated the SKKNI (Indonesian National Work Competency Standard for the Heavy Equipment Industry), then adjusted the curriculum and carried out teaching through "Komatsu Class". This curriculum is supported by the adjustment of facilities, teacher capabilities and applicable teaching materials. KGI also established the Indonesian Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Industry Professional Certification Institute (LSP IMABI) as an institution to conduct certification. This implementation certainly cannot be separated from the government's support through a work agreement between Komatsu and the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.

The real impact of this program is the number of student absorption in 2020-2021 is 1,198 students from 39 Vocational High School. In 2022 the plan and implementation of absorption classes is 270 students. Among student who have worked, there are 5 student who received a 1-year Diploma program scholarship. 

Vocational education with ecosystem coverage is also carried out for human resources who have worked through the Diploma program. All of this can be realized through integration into the Corporate University so that it is necessary to do recognition or Vocational Recognition with the aim of building interconnection with the values ​​of gotong royong, Asah Asih Asuh through synchronizing the human resources development process with Continuous Improvement.
