Fabrication Plant

Komatsu Indonesia has had the capacity to produce frames to complete units since 1992.

The Fabrication Plant was initially established in Komatsu Indonesia’s Cakung-Cilincing plant area in 1992. The facility focuses mainly on producing unit frames for in-house complete machines, ranging from hydraulic excavators to dozer units in small to medium sizes. As the growing need for bigger components, Komatsu Indonesia began building another Fabrication Plant focusing on big-size units in the MM2100 Industrial Estate Cibitung, West Java.

Welding and machining are two main activities in this plant. Besides skilled and experienced welders, the plant is also equipped with robotic automatic welding machines. The machining process is done by machines that are designed to carry out machining processes of big-size components. The plant also operates Induction Quenching and Tempering (IQT) to get the component solidity required by the standard.
