Komatsu Indonesia joined the nation in celebrating the 79th Indonesian Independence Day on Saturday, August 17, 2024. As with previous years, the company held a flag-raising ceremony attended by employees and affiliate companies.

A Harmonious Celebration

This year's celebration featured a special addition: a choir composed of Komatsu Indonesia employees and the company's primary clinic doctor. Led by Dr. Ferry, the choir performed Indonesia Raya, a moment of silence, and Tanah Airku, adding a harmonious touch to the event.

42nd Anniversary Kick-Off

To mark the beginning of Komatsu Indonesia's 42nd anniversary, the company also announced the opening of its annual sports and arts festival (Porseni). This year's opening ceremony included a friendly game of gobak sodor between management and union representatives, symbolizing teamwork and cooperation.

With 42 competitions, including 13 new ones, this year's Porseni promises to be the most exciting yet.

A Colorful Parade and Traditional Games

A colorful parade featuring each plant and affiliate company added to the festive atmosphere. Each group showcased a unique theme, and management and employees alike participated in the fun.

The celebration concluded with traditional Indonesian games such as water throwing, sarung relay, and rujak sambal making. The active participation of employees made the 17th August celebration at PT Komatsu Indonesia truly memorable.
