Komatsu Marketing and Support Indonesia (KMSI) was established on July 1st, 2005, when the Jakarta branch was spun off from Komatsu Asia & Pacific Pte Ltd., and started handling spare parts the following year in 2006. Although its main business is selling these parts and product services, KMSI performs a range of activities that include marketing new equipment and promoting programs such as the BDF (Bio Diesel Fuel) Project. KMSI plays a part in maintaining a competitive presence in the Indonesian market, said to be the most important in Asia, through teamwork with PT United Tractors Tbk, a distributor with a long history and strong capabilities, and the company, a locally incorporated production base.
