PT Komatsu Indonesia officially inaugurated its New Assembly Plant at the MM2100 Industrial Estate in Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java. The facility marks a major strategic milestone in strengthening the company’s manufacturing infrastructure, particularly for large Hydraulic Excavators, while reinforcing Komatsu’s position in Indonesia’s heavy equipment industry.

The new facility occupies approximately 15,000 square meters and was constructed between December 2024 and October 2025. It complements Komatsu’s existing operations in Cibitung, Cilincing, and Cikarang.

The plant adopts a Smart Factory concept, integrating automation and digitalization across its production processes. A key innovation is the use of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV) for the component supply system, designed to enhance operational efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. The facility is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of up to 200 units.

Mr. Jamalludin, President Director of PT Komatsu Indonesia, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. “Through this facility, we aim to create a greener, safer, and more productive production environment driven by automation and digitalization. We also seek to strengthen Komatsu Indonesia’s contribution to the national industry and deliver added value for our customers and society,” he stated.

This inauguration represents an important milestone in Komatsu Indonesia’s long-term strategy to establish a robust manufacturing base in Asia. It reinforces the company’s competitiveness, supports both domestic and export market needs in mining, construction, and forestry sectors, and promotes the advancement of a sustainable industrial ecosystem in Indonesia.
